Out of Hours

Out of Hours

The Urgent Out Of Hours Primary Care Service is for those patients experiencing a medical problem that cannot be reasonably expected to wait for the next opportunity to contact their own practice, in-hours.

During the Out of Hours Periods you can telephone 111 where the call taker will discuss your concerns and where appropriate give advice or pass you on to a Clinician or Service who can deal with your concern.

If further examination or treatment is required the 111 service may ask you to attend the Out of Hours Service in person at the nearest CHCP CIC Primary Care Centre which is open at that time where you will be offered further examination, advice and/or treatment.

If you are unable to attend in person and a home visit is clinically required, a qualified professional will attend at your home and offer further examination, advice and or treatment.

The Urgent Out of Hours Primary Care Service operates from 6.30pm to 8.00am Monday to Thursday, and from Friday 6.30pm to Monday 8.00am and Bank Holidays.

Patients can self-refer by telephoning the NHS 111 number
